Ronald and Margaret Rens run an impeccably well organized and delightful Bordeaux wine tasting experience. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by our gracious hosts and shown to our lovely room. The buildings have been renovated with modern touches in this 300 year old chateau and have modern amenities. Ronald has encyclopedic knowledge of Bordeaux wines and, as promised, we tasted all five premier first growth wines plus Chateau d’Yquiem. Breakfast every day was a traditional French breakfast and we went by bus every day to several wineries per day. Lunches were delicious at various wineries and one day we went to a nearby farmer’s market and all together prepared a fabulous lunch following Margaret’s delicious recipes. Dinners were also very special including the closing dinner at the Chateau which was one of the many highlights of the trip. We felt welcome at all times and the tour guides who joined us on the daily bus trips were knowledgeable and delightful. All around most memorable experience for Bordeaux wine lovers or anyone serious about wine and tasting. There were plenty of opportunities to purchase wines for shipment at various Chateau and wine shops. We went with high expectations and Ronald and Margaret managed to exceed them! Recommend most highly!

I am not one to do reviews, but we must review our experience with the Bordeaux harvest tour. We have already been to Bordeaux twice and taken their one-week experience tour, and this is our third time. It was such a great experience that we brought my daughter and her husband with us this time to enjoy it with us. They got to better understand Bordeaux wines. If you can afford the time, this is a must for anyone who enjoys drinking wine. We have even signed up to do this to her again next September 2025.

We have experienced this amazing tour twice and are so impressed with the thoughtfulness, grace, and hospitality of the hosts Margaret and Ronald Rens. Such a memorable opportunity for education about Bordeaux wines in an intimate small group (max 13 guests per tour).|Our only challenge is planning to do it a third time!!!!

Ronald and Margaret have the Bordeaux Wine Experience honed to perfection. The accommodations were spectacularly charming and very comfortable - from the flowers on arrival and the Orientation Booklet, to the organization of the Chateau visits and the refreshing pool. Everything was top-notch.|Ronald's wine collection is special and Margaret's hospitality is never ending - you feel like family from the very first moment. While the First Growth tastings are guaranteed - you will certainly go very far beyond that and enjoy every tasting.|Not sure when, but I'm sure we will be back for an Alumni Tour!!

A fantastic experience. The opportunity to taste all the first growths along with visiting and tasting at some other fantastic wineries is an experience we will always treasure. Margaret and Ronald are outstanding hosts whose knowledge, organization, sense of humor and story telling are second to none. What a treat to dine at some fantastic restaurants along with an incredible lunch outdoors at Chateau Coulon Laurensac. Ron and Margaret went to such incredible lengths to ensure everyone had a good time and their hospitality was superb. The final day of the tour was capped off with a visit to an awesome wine shop in Saint Emillion and that night an incredible farewell dinner with so many outstanding wines. This in fact was our second time doing this tour with the first being all the way back in 2007. In short we can't recommend the Bordeaux Wine Experience enough. It is simply outstanding.
