From reading the previous reviews I would agree with everything that has been written last year about the poor state of repair at Chalet Christine. Staying there this week we are very grateful and lucky that the electrical fire was spotted and extinguished last night in a such a calm and professional manner. However the response of management to a very concerning incident which put guests and resident staff at risk left much to be desired.

I agree with the last two reviews. The place is tired and tawdry. The fire in the basement, where Alpine Generation had installed a supplementary kitchen, with no extractor and no windows, could have killed us all if we had been asleep. No safety procedures whatsoever, not a single smoke alarm (out of 12) went off, even though thick black smoke enshrouded them. No fire escape for us on the 3rd floor at the top of the wooden staircase which would have been a flaming chimney.|The company made the 8 or so staff who have bedrooms there (!) stay there that night, some of us went to a smaller chalet and three of us had to go to the Montana Hotel. They tried to make us pay for it, unbelievable.|One of the party was a qualified electrical engineer, he condemned the place as dangerous. AG said that it qualified for a string of safety exemptions because of various technical reasons!|Make your own mind up, I'm not using them again.

Our family had a fantastic stay at Chalet Christine. The accommodation was comfortable and clean and the living areas fitted 17 comfortably.|La Tania shops, restaurants and ski lift are a few minutes walk away.|Most impressive was our hosts, they made us comfortable from the outset and really made the stay special. They were a fantastic source of local information and the cooking and baking were delicious.

This was the first time we have done a catered chalet and we were a bit disappointed by the standard of the accommodation. Please be aware that the “reduced head height “is really really low - uncomfortably so - you cannot fully stand up in a couple of the rooms and the access to the bathroom which is in the eaves is ridiculous. We were a group of 13 adults - this might be less of an issue if children were in the group. But it is the double rooms in the eaves. |There were also issues with the electricity supply to a couple of the rooms and a plumbing issue while we were there - although the accommodation manager did their best to resolve this one room was without electricity for 4 days.|Be warned there are no hairdryers provided - although the chalet host was kind enough to lend us his. Rather penny pinching given the amount the chalet costs for a week not to equip it out with a hairdryer per room?|Also there are no toiletries provided other than a bottle of hand wash in each bathroom. Apparently for environmental reasons. Again seemed quite mean?|The whole chalet is rather tired although clean and the walls are very thin! although there is plenty of space downstairs in the living area. The dining room is very narrow and you can’t move around in it easily. |Access to the slopes is good and the boot room area is great and has boot warmers. |Delicious cakes available most afternoons. The evening meals were well cooked although not overly generous - they dealt well with a food allergy issue. There is no beer included in the package so you will need to buy your own and no ice was available for the first half of our stay for our own drinks - this was resolved by the resort manager. The breakfast was pretty basic - with super low quality cereal and no muesli. Cooked breakfast featured eggs heavily. Croissants provided on staff day off only.

Just returned from a week staying at the chalet Christine, fabulous place to stay in La Tania. Almost ski in ski out but the main lift is very close by so makes great access for the 3 valleys ski area. |We were extremely well looked after by our chalet hosts, Molly, Billy, Dan and Hannah, the 3 course dinner was delicious every night and plenty of wine to go with it. Great breakfast choice every morning too. The cake was very welcoming in the afternoon after a full day on the slopes, especially the chocolate brownie.|The chalet was very clean and had everything you needed. We were a large party and took a lot of the rooms, all very comfortable, just be aware though the attic rooms at the top are very small and not much head height, however the room served it’s purpose as you spend very little time in it on a skiing holiday.|It’s a great chalet and location and is perfectly adequate for a week on the slopes, if you’re looking for five star luxury then it’s not for you, however it’s certainly five star food and service.

Just had a fantastic week staying at Chalet Christene. Molly, Hannah, Billy and Dan were all really helpful and friendly. They gave us some great tips which made our stay very enjoyable. Food was amazing, lots of variation and the vegetarian alternatives were brilliant. The hosts were very generous with the wine at meal times. |Close to the ski lodge where there is live music on most nights and the prices are reasonable. The Chalet is mostly ski in ski out with the exception of a short walk to the lift. |Would definitely recommend for a big group of friends or families.

Just had an amazing skiing holiday at Chalet Christine in La Tania. ||||We were very well looked after by our hosts Molly, Hannah, Billy, and Dan. They were all very friendly and worked very hard to cater for all 26 guests!||The food was very good indeed. They kept the chalet nice and clean and gave us some great tips/advice! Thank you guys. ||||The Chalet is close to the main La Tania Gondola.||We loved the 3 Vallées ski area and also the Apres ski at Le Pub Ski Lodge with very reasonable prices.

We had an incredible stay at Chalet Christine. Molly, Hannah, Billy and Dan looked after us extremely well and we were made to feel immediately at home, with nothing too big an ask. From preparing delicious food and keeping the chalet clean to providing us with local tips, we would highly recommend Chalet Christine for a wonderful week skiing.
