Well finished chalet in a pretty good location. Will be a perfect location with ski in ski out once renovation work to the nearby piste is finished||The chalet has everything you need for a 10/10 ski holiday - hot tub and sauna work really well, rooms are spacious enough and living/ dining area perfect for up to 15 people.||Jess and Jake our chalet hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Everything was always clean and served / attended to in good spirits. Jess' food was delicious and filling after a day's skiing! Baking and desserts a particular forte. Wine flowed freely, and any additional requests were tended to quickly! ||

Nice Chalet, poorly managed.|We chose this chalet as it is advertised as ski in ski out. Due to building work the piste that served this chalet is not in use, so this cannot be advertised as ski in ski out. We would not have booked this for this reason alone. The positives of the chalet are its reasonably convenient location, recent refresh, the hosts were great and food decent enough. But there were too many negatives to recommend this chalet. The sauna blows the electrics so cannot be used, the hot tub was almost permanently a soup colour and stank (clearly there is no protocol for keeping this clean), the wine was poor, the entrance stairs and rail are in a poor state and cannot be relied upon, oddly the bedroom furniture has no door knobs (in the master room). Finger nails required. The beautiful fire is so thick with soot on the glass you cannot see the fire, the master shower flooded - blocked with some weeks worth of hair and grime, no outdoor towels or robes are provided for the hot tub or sauna (although we spotted some in a store cupboard and helped ourselves to extra towels - useful for the flooding shower.)|Ultimately the company that is managing this is just doing a poor job. Could be so much better.

We had a wonderful time. This is a gorgeous chalet with lovely space and facilities. The best part however was the care we received from Jess and Jake the chalet staff. Amazing cooking just kept coming and they managed to be kind and fun at the same time. Thank you guys.

Chalet Balkiss was the perfect destination for our 11-strong family group (children & adults).|It is spacious & comfortable, with great amenities from sauna & hot tub to boot & coat room, with gorgeous living space and communal kitchen.|The highlight were out hosts, Jess and Jake, who could not have been kinder.||My only criticisms are the size of the kettle (too small) and the snow conditions could have been better.|Can't have everything.

A wonderful chalet at La Tania and very close to the slopes and lifts offering direct access to the 3V ski area. Great food, great wines and most of all the excellent hosting by Kathy and Andy supplemented by the expertise of the Ski Amis resort manger Sarah. We had a brilliant week's holiday - added to by fantastic weather and snow conditions. Many, many thanks

stayed for the first time with ski amis at chalet balkiss 3rd-10th feb 18 . we stayed room 5 double with high ceilings, ski in/out from the red run, lovely chalet with Jacuzzi, hosts adam and lois were amazing, nothing was too much trouble they worked so hard and attention to detail was excellent, the breakfast was huge and we loved that it included fried bread and for afternoon tea the bread was warmed through so extra tasty, the only complaint we could make was that we needed new ski trousers at the end of the week! ||we hope you both decide to do another season - thank you jane and kerry

Had a fantastic week in this Chalet. Adam & Lois were excellent hosts and all meals; breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner were of restaurant standard and always on time. They are a credit to Ski Amis. The Chalet facilities were very good with comfortable beds and a lovely hot ‘hot tub’. Would have stayed another week if we could.

The chalet Balkiss has the potential for a wonderful ski vacation. However due to the staff and the service, our ski vacation was something we wish to forget.||||Our hosts were Jade and Nicola.||Jade was sick, but instead of taking care of her health and that of her guests she shared her germs with us. During the week, out of group of ten people, 5 had the same symptoms as Jade, they lost 2-3 days of skiing and needed medical care. ||||Although Jade and Nicola were polite, nice and helpful as possible, anything related to meals was like "full gas in neutral" – futile.|| ||||1. Breskfast service took 45 minutes. By the end of th week it took 10 minutes.||2. The coffee on our first 2 days was lukewarm to cold.||3. how do you respons to answers like: "We don't have any more lemon and herbal infusion".||4. On our last day we asked for croissants, the answer was: "We don't have guests next week, so we didn't get supply today".||||Dinner – ||At the beginning there was a clear evidence that Jade & Nicola had no experience in managing service: the starter was fine, but the first course was just ok, the problem was with the main dish, they served the men before the women, the plates and the food on it were cold, the vegetables served in the center of the table were cold and tasteless. The last course was usually was ok, but nothing more..||The vegetarians didn't enjoy their dinner and eventually they brought pizza or some other dish to the chalet, because they knew that dinner will not be enough. ||||In summary the couple proved that they can serve decent meals. Unfortunately, we were part of the learning curve. ||||If you have a sick host, he should be on a sick leave, not attending guests.||||Upon return, we wrote to Ski amis. It took them 2 months to answer, that nothing was wrong with the staff and that they are sorry that the food was not to our taste.
