This was our first snowboarding holiday so I don't have anything to compare it against..worth baring this in mind. The Chalet was satisfactory, room reasonable size with a balcony..beautiful views. Bathroom was small but the shower was good. Staff were good, food was ok...lacked options. All the food was nice but it was a set menu and there wasn't any options if you didn't fancy what was on the menu..although the staff were accommodating. I don't think i have ever eaten that much bread in 1 week in my life. The chalet was good in terms of meeting other people, friendly casual atmosphere. There is 2 local pubs, a few shops and restaurants. The location is ok, close to chair lifts although a little out of the way form the centre, sometimes a bit of an effort to make your way back via the slopes at the end of the day but there are free buses to remedy this if you don't want to board. No much house keeping in terms of cleaning the rooms, no change of bedding or towels or even emptying bins. Overall it was a very enjoyable holiday. weather was bright and warm, snow was good.

Stayed here for a week as part of a holiday booked by Ski World. Chalet itself was fairly clean and spacious enough for our group. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was fairly decent however I was not expecting luxury. Some others in our group had varying experiences with there bathrooms but you're only there to shower briefly so can't complain too much. Chalet hosts were on the whole helpful and fairly tolerant of us. A couple seemed more like salespersons than hosts, but that is to be expected. Food was good over the week. Location wise was good, minutes from rental shops, lifts and bars. Overall, would recommend if looking for a good budget base for a weeks skiing.

Just got back from a week at Chalet Altesse. We stayed as a large group made up of adults, older teens and children. |The chalet is a little tired and in need of refurbishment, with carpets and soft furnishings having seen better days. |The beds were clean and comfy, and the bathrooms functional. What else do you need? |Great hosts! |The 4 guys that work tirelessly to make your stay comfortable are amazing! |Breakfast was plentiful, with lots of choice. |Afternoon tea was always ready for when you get back to the chalet, amazing cakes! |Evening meals were tasty and nutritious, with Jack (the chef) going out of his way to ensure my veggie daughter got to eat something she liked! |The team consisting of Dan, Felix, Jack and the lovely guy with the broken shoulder (apologies - I can't remember your name) were knowledgeable about the resort and aprés ski, which made the party animals and youngsters very happy! |This chalet is not luxury, but is comfortable and functional with a great location just a minutes walk from a chair lift which you can ski down an easy blue to get into Plagne Centre. You can ski back into 1800 via a red run or get the free bus that stops just down the road from the chalet. |All in all a great value for money stay, with great staff who work really hard to ensure guests enjoy their stay. A credit to Skiworld!|||

Accommodation very very poor from the dirty thread bare staircase carpet that met you on arrival too us asking for our room to be vacuumed,or the lack of basic hygiene in general or even the fact that our room had no drawers to place your clothes or wardrobe to hang them,I haven't even mentioned the kitchen !,this property was sold to us as good family accommodation more like very poor student accommodation although the staff where friendly and the location was ideal the place has never seen 4star ratings as advertised (and we had one of the better rooms) if your standards are a £15 bed & breakfast in Blackpool then you will love this place .please stop advertising this chalet as 4star accommodation. I could continue with the problems but not enough space, but at least the skiing was fantastic and our group of 20 made the time being spent in the chalet bearable,I feel I have given a honest opinion but please do not book if you have a family .

Booked this chalet through ski world who are themselves a superb company.||The chalet itself is a bit basic but comfortable for a week. There is a selection of singles, doubles and quad rooms all with bath/shower and toilet..The rooms are spread over 3 floors and their is a ski room on the ground floor and lounge/dining area on the 3rd floor.||The chalet is about 200m from the nearest lift (not ski in/out). There are 2 ski shops and 2 good bars (la mine and bobsleigh) within 400m.||The chalet is run by 4 young but very able lads who are very friendly ,helpful and attentive to their guests needs .

This Chalet is graded as 4*. I have stayed in better camping barns. SkiWorld need a big kick up their derrière. This Chalet is disgusting and would be closed down by the authorities if it were in England. The interior is filthy, the kitchen is a bio-hazard, the dinning tables are sticky, the plates, cutlery and glasses are greasy. The food was mediocre at best and often overcooked and burnt. The wine is undrinkable. The Chalet staff could not give a dam. This is the worst ski Chalet I have ever stayed in. I have nothing positive to say about this place other than it is a short walk to 2 ski lifts.

Well located, food ok & Chalet staff that tried their best but....||||No hot water for significant part of the holiday (we say 4 days, Skiworld say 3 mornings and 1 evening, either way not good enough). Too many rooms added putting pressure on the system we suspect and poor maintenance,||Dirty, dangerous, unhygienic kitchen in need of complete replacement.||Insufficient time spent cleaning & cleaning equipment not fit for purpose.||Small rooms particularly in the basement which shouldn't really be used for accommodation.||Numerous small maintenance & cleaning issues (missing locks, missing light bulbs).||||Complaint handling by Skiworld resort management & on return London Head Office was disgraceful. Eventually obtained some compensation but it seems mainly because their in resort staff lied about an issue and suggested we'd already been compensated, we were able to show this not to be the case.||||There were 33 of us (7 families) and this was our second booking with Skiworld but we were treated as if we were a complete inconvenience.
