Yet another wonderful and restorative stay and this remarkable place. The combination of absolute tranquility and privacy with a beautiful large shared pool and good conversation and company (if one wants it) is a world beater. Bunty and her team get the balance absolutely right between friendliness, efficiency and giving people space. The country around is superb with beautiful towns and bastides (Issigeac i2 5 minutes away), some great restaurants and of course the wine!

11th May - 11th June 2024 (yes five weeks)|Our first stay but certainly a special one that we will never forget and will regularly try and repeat - such a tranquil and peaceful setting in arguably the most beautiful part of south west France. We both loved the early evening drinks by the pool and of course the engaging company we met during our stay - thank you Richard, Moira, Sam, Dave, Mark, Sue, Roland, Jane, Cliff, Jo - too many to mention them all here but certainly not forgetting the crocodile stories so well told by our new friends from Darwin Australia. |We can’t speak highly enough of Bunty and her team - Pam had a minor eye infection when we arrived in the late afternoon from an overnight stay the previous night near Le Mans albeit getting a bit late Bunty insisted on going to the pharmacy in nearby Issigeac and came back with various options of treatment and medicines. A very personal example of the caring, effort and ‘going the extra mile’ by Bunty and her team to make our stay most enjoyable and memorable. Thank you again Bunty !!

We have been visiting Domaine de Fumel every year for 10 years and have already booked to go twice later this year (2024)|The lack of internet and televisions makes the place calm, relaxing and a real holiday break from a busy life - even though we are now retired.|Each gite is fully equipped and beautifully presented, except for bringing your swimming costume and some food you want for nothing during your visit. |Bunty is a fabulous hostess, and can help with bookings for restaurants if you would like to eat out - with many outstanding restaurants easily accessible and nearby.|Perhaps too good a review will mean I can't get in next year ... Our daughter and son in law stayed here in 2005 and loved it. As parents they are now 'ineligible' to return until the children are grown up, so we decided to 'take their place'. It is idyllic, very quiet, wonderful views and so relaxing. The gites are very well and stylishly equipped, they have thought of everything. Bunty and Dave are most welcoming and are keen to see that their guests are happy. The pool is amazing, beautifully maintained with ample loungers, tables and chairs in the area. We loved the evening 'get together' for aperitifs, chatting to the other guests. It is very laid back and in a beautiful area with many interesting places to visit within a short drive. Thank you Bunty abd Dave, we will be back.
