dès le début Jamie et Kate ont été très réactifs et disponibles avant la réservation, répondant à toutes nos questions. Et une fois sur place nous nous sommes sentis chez nous grâce à leur super accueil! Des hôtes très chaleureux, ayant un sens du service et de l’hospitalité sincère. La maison est spacieuse, tout y est neuf et aménagé avec goût. Notre chambre était top et assez grande pour y mettre un lit bébé, et la literie confortable. Quand au petit-déjeuner préparé avec soin par Jamie rien à redire, juste pas envie de partir le matin ! Nous recommandons vivement et retenons cette adresse pour revenir avec plaisir ! Merci à tous les 2!

I had such a brilliant experience staying at Escape to the Pyrenees. Jamie, Ida, Mika and Olivia were very welcoming and friendly and looked after every aspect of my stay perfectly.

The guest house is very homely and well presented, with plenty of space, clean facilities and lots of interesting cycling memorabilia. The workshop is very well stocked with spares and tools for anything you may need.

The location of Villelongue is ideal, with so many iconic climbs from Le Tour within easy reach, and the village is so picturesque and quiet. I travelled with my bike from Bristol to Toulouse then took the train to Lourdes, where Jamie picked me up, which was a straightforward experience.

Jamie was a excellent guide, always providing useful advice on the route as well as climbing and descending tips which helped to improve my riding. He also took plenty of amazing photos of us cycling, which captured the moment perfectly!

The cooking by chef Mika was sensational every day, and I really appreciated his efforts to accommodate my plant based diet.

I highly recommend Escape to the Pyrenees to fellow cyclists looking to experience the amazing scenery of the Pyrenees and iconic sights of Le Tour.

I will certainly be back!

An exceptional week - Jamie’s passion for the area and cycling in general is immediately apparent. He provided us with memorable gravel routes that we would have been unlikely to discover ourselves. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the included meals were restaurant quality, and Jamie’s small team made us feel very welcome. We would happily have stayed longer - but Girona wasn’t too bad either 😀

Perfect location, amazing food (bravo Mika!) and host Jamie has a wealth of invaluable advice and help to pass on. I've just completed the Giants of the Pyrennes tour, it was an absolute delight from start to finish.
I 100% recommend doing a tour with Escape to the Pyrenees.
I look forward to returning to tick off some of the other Pyrenees climbs.

Jamie is a superb host with a vast knowledge of all things cycling and has the upmost interest in his customers and their safety. Each night over dinner a briefing of the of the next days riding is done that allows for flexibility according to how the riders are feeling.

The accommodation & location are wonderful, and includes a locked garage that allows you to do some work on your bike.

The food that is served on a daily basis for breakfast & dinner is fantastic. I'm a very simple eater yet i tried and loved everything that was served, both chefs did an amazing job.

I loved our Giants of the Pyrenees trip. The mountains are so beautiful to cycle, and the hospitality from Jamie and the team was excellent. Some surprising things I probably hadn’t realised in advance: the routes and difficulty of each days riding is actually very flexible according to experience, fitness and just what the group want. Jamie’s ability to combine climbs and route sections to deliver the ideal day for the group was really impressive. Even taking account of the weather on the day, and which side of the mountain will be in shade / sun at given times of the day as well as the more obvious things like Ks covered and meters of climbing. The second pleasant surprise was the food, I hadn’t realised it would be so special (we were all regularly taking pictures of the meals they were so extraordinary). I’d also not realised that riding with Jamie would mean we might get feedback on our riding style (my friend and I learnt to descend more confidently on our drops). Overall a great holiday, in a great place, great hosts and a wonderful group.

I believe the Midi Pyrenees is the best and most beautiful place I’ve ever ridden my bike. My friends and I did a self guided stay.
As for the service, accommodation and specific location: Jamie and his staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. It was obvious to my friends and I that he really did care and really wanted us to have a great experience. He succeeded! Jamie provided local knowledge and super detailed route suggestions (Strava files too!). The meals were great and plentiful. The pre/post ride snacks were a nice touch. The house/accommodations are perfect, private, quiet, big enough, and clean. There’s indoor and outdoor common space to relax and recount the day’s adventure. Proximity to the iconic climbs is unbelievably close (<10 miles to Tourmalet, Luz Ardiden and Hautacam!). Close to town and super easy to get to from the USA via TLS. I’m already planning my return visit.
