Allez-y!

We stayed at the beautiful Le Vallespir apartment in the Mas Pallares farm house. The views were amazing, the accommodations were comfortable and clean and Lizzy is a fantastic host. The location is perfect because it's nestled on the hillside of a valley and quiet, however, the well known town of Ceret, France is close by if you want to absorb some of the culture and the Saturday market is fantastic. Also, the Mediterranean Sea is just a short drive (30 minutes or so) and the Spanish border is a few km away. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Mas Pallares with our family (3 children 2, 7 and 9) during 1 week in April. The house is a historic farmhouse that was carefully renovated and our apartment had two terraces with great views on the hills. Lizzy, the owner, is very friendly and eager to help and make us feel at home. The location is quite and peaceful yet at short distance from a nice historic town (Le Ceret - 5 minutes), the sea (25 minutes) and the mountains. There are plenty of interesting places to visit in the area. We had a wonderful stay and will certainly come back.

We spent a lovely week at Le Cave apartment in Mas Pallares. The apartment was very spacious and extremely comfortable. Lizzie has put a lot of thought into making the apartment so beautiful and full of character. We also had the most beautiful patio area outside where we could sit and relax in fabulous peaceful surroundings. Lizzie is the kindest person you could meet. She is one in a million. We will definitely return.

We have just returned from a week's stay at Mas Palleras. We stayed in La Cave which is a very spacious and cool apartment on the ground floor of this historic farmhouse. Lizzie is a fantastic host, providing us with information about the local area.||||We are a family of four with 2 teenagers and this apartment was perfect for all of us. We could all find our own favourite corner to read (catch up on social media or watch you-tube videos!!) and relax. With temperatures reaching mid/late 30s late July, we appreciated the coolness of the old wine cellar. There is air conditioning (& de-humidifiers for the slight dampness in 2 of the rooms), but we only used it a couple of times because the walls are so thick and keep the apartment cool throughout the day. The back rooms are dark, which is great for sleeping in at night, but two of the living areas are very well lit with natural light from the double French doors opening out onto the patio/terrace. The patio is huge and a wonderful place to sit out in. There is plenty of sun and shade throughout the day. There is a good BBQ here too. The pool is lovely, v clean and just the right temperature to cool off! It is a very peaceful area and although there are other houses/gites etc around, there is little noise during the day. The farmhouse is next to a road, but hardly any traffic travels on it.||||As we needed to relax, we didn't move much from the apartment once we settled in, except to go to Lidl (in Le Pont de Reynes) & Carrefour (in Ceret) for supplies. We did visit Ceret (lovely local town with a rich history and fantastic Museum of Modern Art - also the Tuesday evening market has a wonderful atmosphere), the Gorges de la Fou and Prats de Mollo, but apart from that we just lazed by the pool, did a local walk and used the BBQ a few times! It is a beautiful part of France and I have no doubt we will be returning to Mas Palleras one day!

Our family (3 children 9,12,17) spent 3 weeks in Mas Pallares from late june and forward. The service we experienced from Lizzy, the lady who runs the place, was perfect. She helped us with all sorts of questions and advices. Mas Pallares is a big, beautiful stone house with a nice pool and garden.|| We spent the first 10 days in a wonderful flat with two terraces, both gave us shadow during the day. The flat was well equipped so we could make breakfast and dinner, a very nice gas-stove and two refrigerators was perfect as we were five people. There wasn´t any air-condition but we had two fans during the night which provided the air that was needed. We had between 29-38 celcius degrees during the whole period.||||The last 11 days we spent in La Cave, a fantastic flat (former wine-cellar) equipped as the other with everything we needed. It was a much cooler place though a bit damp, but we had fans and dehumidifiers which worked fine. The big terrace provided both sun and shadow.||Both the flats was so nice decorated and furnished and we really enjoyed to stay there. ||The location was perfect between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean sea and also close to Spain (45 min by car)||We snorkled in Le Racou and in Port Vendres. We took a trip to Roses (Spain) and made a nice tour with a boat round the coastline. Beautiful beaches and crystal clear water! On our way back we stopped in Peralada, a small village in the mountains and had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant, Cal Sagrista, who had excellent service and really good, catalan food.||We went to the dance-festival Sardana, in Ceret. We took two days up in the Pyrenees, hiked in Mont Carlit and stayed one night at the charming Auberge du Carlit. Fantastic scenery! The roads up there were really good, we recommend it.||There is nothing bad to say about this trip, we should gladly do it again!
