A beautiful location. The gite was lovely with all equipment provided. The welcome basket was a nice touch. |Comfortable, clean and tidy. |Great facilities on site - we borrowed bikes and went for an explore of the local area.....again beautiful! |Jackie and Julian are great hosts - beware Julian will keep your glass topped up! Jackie cooked for us on our last night and the meal was delicious. |All in all a lovely, relaxing holiday and we will be going back!!

Myself , my husband our two month old son have just returned from Moulin de gouge. It was home from home set in beautiful settings, Jackie and Julian were very welcoming and made every effort to make our stay comfortable. It is a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle , stunning location with an orchard and swimming pool what more can you ask for. Thank you and definitely wish to return next year

Julian and Jackie couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Examples of what they did for us on our visit being to provide waders for my son to catch crayfish, a fishing rod, dealt with a problem we had with the local police, helped with the BQQ etc, etc.||The gite was very clean, had everything we wanted. We smashed a plate and glass and they refused to take money for the damage. Dogs and cats all very friendly.||Jackie's food is excellent, more than we could eat. We had 16 sitting down for one meal with Julian making sure our glasses were full with white, red and desert wine.||When we left we were given a bottle of cognac. We will definitely be going back.

The property itself is just like the description and truly idyllic, even though our welcome was not particularly warm: the landlady seemed rather fed-up and wasn’t particularly pleasant (she even complained to me at length about some former guests and their eating habits!) ||||The owners have several dogs (as well as 10 cats), which we were aware of, and the children started to play with a Labrador puppy. In the general excitement of puppy and children, the puppy started to nip one of the children. This in itself was not a problem, but as I was restraining the dog from nipping me also (and biting a hole in my skirt), I was rudely told by the landlady, and I quote ‘Get a grip on yourself woman – if you don’t like it leave’. ||||Shortly after this we were called in to supper and I noticed that she had provided starters for the children. I reminded her of a previous conversation we had had on arrival (when I explicitly said it would be a waste to provide a starter for the children and had she agreed) - and she just looked at me, hands on hips, and said, again I quote, ‘that’s it. Pack your bags and go. I have had enough of you. And if you don’t go now I will throw you out.’ ||||I have no idea whether or not this has happened to other guests, or whether this was a one-off., but it was a horrible experience for us. I would naturally expect anyone running any kind of hotel to be hospitable and pleasant and felt that this rather extreme behaviour should not go unreported!
